Tramper’s thanks

A poor tramping decision at the start of July ultimately led to an unintended association with a range of people, to whom I am indebted. So a ‘‘thank you’’ to Graham Pomeroy and the local LandSAR teams, David Colville (police), farmer Brendan Robinson, MAPU ward staff (Nelson Hospital), and the folk at the Nelson Marlborough Rescue Helicopter, among others.

The reader would most likely be spared these token words if not for the paltry investment of $20 with Mr Paddy Gillooly (Farewell Spit Eco Tours) – the hire of a personal locator beacon. Unreservedly recommended.
