South Korean star fires 61 as Ko stays in touch

Jeongeun Lee6 tied the overall golf majors record with a 10-under-par 61 at the Evian Championship in France yesterday, as Kiwi star Lydia Ko shot 65 to be six shots back. South Korea’s Lee6’s 36-hole score of 127 was the lowest total in a women’s or men’s major. Ko (68-65) fired seven birdies. NZ’s Josh Geary (71-74) missed the cut by one at the Welsh Open, led by Spain’s Nacho Elvira (64-67).
