Vaccines and tests

We returned from Queensland a couple of weeks ago. We were fully vaccinated before we left New Zealand. We completed the Australian Health entry form.

We looked through all the websites before returning to make sure we had everything right. The best information came from Air New Zealand, clear and concise – you need a Covid-free test less than 72 hours old to be assured of quarantine-free entry. Only private pathology tests are acceptable, at approximately A$150 each. The clinician who took the swabs asked why I needed a test if I was vaccinated. Good question.

Why aren’t vaccinated travellers asked if they are vaccinated?
