Steel hang tough to keep home playoff hopes alive

Southern Steel beat the Central Pulse 59-57 at Stadium Southland last night, lifting them above the Mainland Tactix into second place on the ANZ Premiership ladder. If the Northern Mystics, who have already booked a home grand final, beat the Tactix in the Garden City today, Steel will host the 2 v 3 elimination final next weekend. Steel sharp-shooter George Fisher landed 42 of her 45 attempts against Pulse, while Aliyah Dunn (36/39) and Te Amo Amaru-Tibble (21/21) shone for the visitors.
