Mask it or casket
In one short paragraph Paul Evans-Mcleod hit the spot (Letters, September 12).
‘‘Mask it , or casket’’ should be our Covid slogan. Indeed it did take a while for us to learn to wear our seatbelts (click it or ticket) but in a pandemic there isn’t the privilege of time. Delta doesn’t care about human rights, religions, incomes, or anything else. Perhaps when it mutated from Covid-19 it picked up one human trait – divide and conquer.
We are so lucky in New Zealand. OK, we can complain, but most of us understand the ‘‘why’’ behind such measures. Don’t pass the buck on what should be done, shouldn’t be done, or criticise, because it all comes down to us as individuals, to do what is right.
Do we want to emulate other countries and start filling caskets?
