Apple has increased the size of its Apple Watches by 1mm, meaning the Series 7 is available in two sizes: 41mm and 45mm.

The bigger devices feature a disproportionately bigger display, though. The bigger touch buttons on the Series 7 is the best thing about the updated smartwatches.

Fast charging makes its way to the Apple Watch for the first time. Apple says you can charge the Series 7 from zero to 80 per cent in 45 minutes – a 33 per cent improvement on Series 6. There’s still no QI wireless charging, which means you’ll have to use Apple’s fastcharging cable to reap the benefits of the bumped speed.

It has IP6X dust resistance for the first time, with the same 50-metre water resistance.

There are no new healthtracking features.
