Ko starts well in major

New Zealand golfer Lydia Ko made a solid start to the final major of the year, shooting an opening round 3-under 68 at the Evian Championship in France yesterday. That had Ko in a tie for 11th, three shots off the pace being set by Yealimi Noh (US) and Pajaree Anannarukarn (Thailand). Ko had a hiccup with a bogey at the par four fourth hole, but then had four birdies. Ko won the Evian championship in 2015 for her breakthrough major win, being the youngest women to claim a title at that level.
