At the moment, our idea of getting dressed up is putting on earrings, something simple but eye-catching enough to distract our Zoom mates from our makeupfree faces.

We are seeking out pairs that can be worn day and night, all day, everyday. These Silk & Steel hoops are perfect for that, delicate but still statement making.

The plan is to wear them all spring long, with square neck dresses, ethical sneakers and a bold matte lip that can stand up to mask wear and tear, a 2021 Lily Allen.

But summer is when they’ll really earn their keep, adding some much needed polish to outfits at a time when all we can be bothered wearing is togs, linen shirts, denim shorts and a tan. They’ll go from the beach to brunch and back again. Any day now.
