Venus claims 20th ATP title

Kiwi doubles star Michael Venus will enter the French Open in good touch, after claiming a 20th ATP title on the eve of the grand slam. Venus and British playing partner Jamie Murray triumphed in a tightly-fought final to take out the Geneva Open in Switzerland yesterday. In a match that lasted nearly two hours, the fourthseeded duo prevailed 7-6(6), 7-6(3) against the third-seeded Argentinian/Spanish pairing of Horacio Zeballos and Marcel Granollers. It was Venus’ second triumph at the Geneva Open, having won with Australian John Peers in 2021.
