Dark Destroyer edges rivals in Bonecrusher

A wet Matamata track saw local runner Dark Destroyer score a gritty win in the $90,000 Bonecrusher Stakes (1400m) yesterday. Sent out a warm $2 favourite, the Lance O’Sullivan and Andrew Scott-trained son of Proisir showed plenty of heart to defeat fellow 3-yearolds Whiskey and La Bella Beals. Trentham was abandoned and the Captain Cook Stakes will now be run at Te Rapa on December 11.
