Seagulls pounce late with scrappy own goal

Brighton overcame a missed a penalty and a disallowed goal to salvage a 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace in the English Premier League yesterday. A late own goal from Joachim Andersen helped the Seagulls snatch a point after Conor Gallagher’s seventh goal of the season gave Palace an undeserved secondhalf lead. Seagulls midfielder Pascal Gross had seen a weak first-half spot-kick kept out by Jack Butland. Burnley’s shortage of players due to coronavirus cases and injuries has led to their Premier League match against Leicester today being postponed and Arsenal have requested their North London derby clash with Spurs tomorrow be postponed.
