Kiwi women storm into medal rounds

Beach Ferns pair Shaunna Polley and Alice Zeimann downed England 2-0 (21-13, 21-15) to make the semifinals yesterday, but Kiwi men Sam O’Dea and Brad Fuller were upset 2-0 (18-21 19-21) by Rwanda. Polley and Zeimann will face Canada for a place in the gold medal match at 7am today. A big O’Dea spike made it 19-19 in the second set, but a narrow line miss and review on match ball cost the Kiwi men.
