Veteran jockey, former AB capture Winter Cup
A rails-hugging ride by 55-year-old jockey Terry Moseley paved the way for Lord Darci to win the 125th $100K Winter Cup (1600m), at Riccarton yesterday. Bred, raced and trained by former All Blacks fullback Bevan Wilson and his wife Robyn at Ashburton, the 5-year-old downed Summer Festival, who fought hard when joined by Lord Darci ($7) at the 300m, before Moseley got his first Winter Cup win. Lord Darci has now won four of 13.
