Tugboat a symbol

It was amusing to see Auckland’s e-tugboat Sparky greeting the massive cruise ship Seven Seas Explorer.

The wee tugboat presumably represents a response to environmental concerns, whereas large cruise liners (unfortunately) are essentially the opposite – burning hundreds of tonnes of fossil fuel daily, emissions equal to those from thousands of cars, and then there are the biohazards they bring along with them.
