Volunteers needed for Pink Ribbon street appeal

A massive national Breast Cancer Foundation fundraiser could be canned in Taranaki if more volunteers can’t be found. The Pink Ribbon street appeal sees donations collected for breast cancer research, education and patient support, and is set to take place next month. But, there is a need for volunteer area coordinators in Ha¯wera, Manaia, New Plymouth and Stratford, to oversee local collection sites. In a media release, Breast Cancer Foundation NZ chief executive AhLeen Rayner said without more volunteers in Taranaki, ‘‘we can’t run our street appeal here’’. To volunteer for the Pink Ribbon Street Appeal in Taranaki, please visit pinkribbonvolunteer. org.nz, email pinkribbon@bcf.org.nz or phone 0508 105 105.
