DWZ joins Warriors

The Warriors have got their man, with Dallin Watene-Zelezniak’s move to the club agreed and the contract to be signed soon. Stuff understands that the deal has been struck for the Kiwis captain to join the club immediately, on a three-and-a-half year deal, having been given an early release from his contract by the Bulldogs. Watene-Zelezniak will join the Warriors through to the end of the 2024 season. It had been hoped the deal would be completed in time for Watene-Zelezniak to play against the Knights in the NRL tomorrow. However, as he wasn’t named in the 21-man squad for the game on Tuesday, he’s not available. He is now expected to play his first game for the club against the Dragons on July 2.
