Delany, Cotton honoured

Star New Zealand Breakers forward Finn Delany has been recognised for the best season of his career with selection in the All-NBL second team at the league’s annual awards. Delany was the only member of the Breakers, who finished second from bottom after another disappointing season, to be recognised at the Australian NBL’s awards. Injured Perth Wildcats star Bryce Cotton was named MVP for the second straight year and was joined in the AllNBL first team by team-mate John Mooney, Melbourne United centre Jock Landale, Illawarra Hawks point guard Tyler Harvey and Brisbane Bullets standout Nathan Sobey. Delany was selected alongside Mitch Creek (South East Melbourne Phoenix), Chris Goulding (Melbourne), Mitch McCarron (Melbourne) and Casper Ware (Sydney Kings) in the all-NBL second team.
