Don’t approach missing man, family urge public

The search for a missing Kāpiti Coast man is now into its ninth day, with police continuing to focus on the Reikorangi area. In a statement yesterday, Joe Pryor’s family asked the public not to approach the 63-year-old if he is seen, unless he is at risk, and to take a photo so his family and the police can identify him. Pryor was last seen on CCTV footage a week ago, on November 26, leaving his workshop in Waikanae. He left a note saying he would be back in two hours. He was spotted on CCTV footage walking through the shops on Mahara Place, before reaching Elizabeth St, where he was last sighted. A police spokeswoman said the search will continue over the weekend.
