Richard Marx coming to capital early in new year

For the first time, Grammy-winning pop artist RichardMarx will play in NewZealand next year, bringing his newalbum and classic hits to the stage. Known for his chart-topping songs of the 1980s and 1990s, Marx has sold more than 30 million albums worldwide. In 1989 his classic Right HereWaiting topped the charts in NewZealand. In 2004 his work with Luther Vandross for the song DanceWith My Father won a Grammyfor song of the year. With a career spanningmore than 35 years, Marx is making his first sojourn to NewZealand, touring his 13th studio album, Songwriter. Marx will play in Christchurch, Wellington Opera House on Tuesday, February 21 and Auckland. Fans can request songs for their local showon the artist’swebsite. Presale tickets go on sale on October 4, and general tickets go on sale Thursday, October 6 at midday from Frontier Touring.
