Roads a disgrace

I have just completed a return car trip fromWellington to Hawke’s Bay. The state of the road reminded me of the rural roads in China that I encountered when there 30 years ago. There are numerous potholes, areas of broken seal especially in the outside wheel tracks, and where efforts have been made to carry out repairs, a very bumpy ride ensured.

Generally I consider our roads a disgrace.
