Large space for lease in health precinct building

A large floor area for lease in an eye-catching office building in the Christchurch central health precinct is expected to attract plenty of interest.

The building is anchored by Archibalds Porsche and New Zealand Clinical Research, and has a full floor plate on level two of 1378 square metres, which could be occupied as one space or split into various configurations.

Colliers’ director of office leasing, Brynn Burrows, said the health precinct was one of the most keenly sought locations in the Christchurch central city, with a multitude of medical professionals basing themselves in the area close to Christchurch Hospital.

The floor is serviced by onsite car parking.

‘‘The health precinct provides a wide variety of support services to the medical industry, making this space ideal for a wide range of occupiers,’’ Burrows said.

Its proximity to Hagley Park, Avon River, and the underconstruction sport and recreation centre, Parakiore, coupled with plenty of food and beverage options, meant it would be an appealing space for employees, Burrows said.

The space is being offered as a clean shell ready for a tenant to complete a hard fitout.

Burrows said the Covid-driven trend to working from home appeared to be waning in Christchurch, fuelling renewed interest in commercial space.

‘‘At the start of the year, businesses and organisations

considering a shift to new premises decided to wait because they were often dealing with alternating teams in the office to prevent the spread of Covid.

‘‘Now, enquiry is strong but there is insufficient stock to satisfy the growing demand and any new builds are at least two years away.’’
