Winner: Oxnam Family

FOUR generations of the Oxnam family spanning more than 80 years shows the impressive dedication this family has to the forestry sector. The family has been involved in many aspects of the industry from owning timber and hardware stores, and logging crews, to a rail log transfer yard, and a large log cartage fleet.

The Oxnams employ 42 local people in the Manawatu in a variety of roles from cartage to harvesting.

Russell Oxnam started Foxpine log cartage company, and today current owners Jacob, Jeanette and their daughter Savannah run a thriving and diverse forestry business which contributes significantly to the Manawatu economy and community.

This family embodies the spirit of inspiring families with its multi-generational dedication to the forestry industry. Forestry has a long history of families working together in a sector they love and often businesses are multi-generational.

Dale Ewers, representing sponsors FICA, was proud to congratulate members of the Oxnam Family for their achievements in forestry.
