Limited thrill

A Lotto prize of $42m is an obscene figure. Recipients of such unexpected and unearned amounts as often as not ruin their lives. A figure of [say] $1m is enough to give that thrill of a naughty illicit gain, yet hopefully not lead to a path of selfdestruction.
