Council meanness

I concede I was pushing the boat out a little when I suggested in a previous letter that $30,000 per household be paid to residents in Bromley to compensate for years of unbearable stench.

But I never imagined that the council would ever be so mean and out of touch as to offer an insulting $200 per family. That’s worse than nothing.

Once again – in the context of the $57 million it has agreed to spend on adding a few more seats to the albatross of a stadium – it says everything about the ambitions of this city.
