Naked truth
Apart from wondering what book the naked sunbather
(Nude sunbathing laid bare in court, August 12) was reading, an incident concerning George Bernard Shaw came to mind. He and a friend were sunbathing in the nude on the banks of the Royal Canal in Dublin. A boat load of tourists came into view and Shaw’s friend placed a handkerchief over his private parts while GBS covered his face with his handkerchief. When his friend asked ‘‘Why?’’ GBS answered, ‘‘Some of us are known for our faces.’’
