All Blacks to play Japan
The All Blacks will play Japan in Tokyo in late October as the first match of their end-of-season northern tour.
New Zealand Rugby announced the fixture yesterday, with the match to be played at the National Stadium in Japan’s capital on October 29, with the new Challenge Cup on the line.
It will be the seventh time the All Blacks have played the Brave Blossoms.
Following the match the All Blacks will head to the United Kingdom for tests against Wales, Scotland and England in November.
Japan are coached by New Zealander Jamie Joseph, who described the announcement as ‘‘tremendous news’’ that would be welcomed by his team’s fans in Japan and around the world.
