Lorde and Flume to headline Electric Avenue
Lorde and Flume will be the top acts at next year’s Electric Avenue music festival in Christchurch’s Hagley Park. Close to 50 artists will perform across five stages – including a new10,000 capacity temporary indoor arena – on February 25.
This year’s event was cancelled after the country moved into the Covid red traffic light setting in January and festival director Callam
Mitchell said itwas ‘‘great to be back’’. Other acts confirmed include L.A.B, Fat Freddy’s Drop, Supergroove and Teeks. Lorde has headlined several major international festivals. Australian DJ Flume won several awards at the Australian Independent Record Awards. Next year’s Electric Avenue is expected to attract more than 30,000 people.
