Xander White has spent 2021 racing in Europe with the Black Spoke Pro Cycling Academy and will lead The Business South Cycling Team around the roads of Southland this year. The experiences Xander he has gained racing in the world’s toughest cycling domain will have huge benefits for the team. Adam Bidwell is the youngest member of the team, but comes with some good results, including a fourth place in the U19 road national championships this year. He has the natural ability to perform among the elite competition in the event and to surprise some of his seniors with his climbing ability. Michael Audeau is equally at home on the road and the track, with some very good results in the sprint events in the U19 division. Keep an eye on him in the fast, flat stages. Raphael Amouroux is a former professional kick boxer, and represented France in 2009 and 2010 at the European and World Championships. He started cycling in 2017, and specialises in time trials. Liam Morrison is a talented young rider who last year had to abandon the Tour of Southland after being caught up in a crash that left him with a broken wrist. Liam has trained hard this year and is climbing well around the Canterbury hills and is set for redemption. Travis Kane is a rider who needs no introduction, and who knows the course inside out and is always relaxed and cheerful. He holds the record for the highest number of consecutive tours completed, set last year when he finished his 21st tour, and will be aiming to complete his 22nd this year.
