Mitchell Sincock returns for his second SBS Bank Tour of Southland this year, aiming for a strong finish in the Silver Jersey competition. Fitting in all the training needed for a tour is no small feat as he has to combine that with running his business, team sponsor Curcuit Asphalt. Jeremy Inglis is lining up for his eighth tour on the bike, also having completed two tours in the team car for Mike Greer Homes in the past. His experience will be vital to the team’s performance over the course of the week. Campbell Pithie returns to the tour this year with a solid block of European racing behind him, having gained valuable experience racing in events including La Polynormande, Le Tour de Savoie Mont Blanc, Sibiu Cycling Tour and Tour of Malopolska. Max Beckert returns for his second lap of Southland after his tour debut last year, and will be aiming to capitalise on the experience gained last year. Dougal Allan may be new to the Tour of Southland, but as a multisport and triathlon specialists he boasts a long list of national and international victories, including being the current Coast to Coast champion. After a considerable break from riding, Alex Frame returns to the tour with a little bit less pressure on his shoulders than previous editions. Having claimed gold at the 2015 UCI Track Cycling World Championships, and having raced professionally on the road for the likes of Trek-Segafredo, the rest of the field is unlikely to let him slip under the radar, even if this is a more relaxed return.
