ONYA BIKE 1.5M (OYB)

Blair Barnes-Page hails from Christchurch and is the youngest member of the team at 19, in his first year out of school. Chris Harvey rides in the over 35 category, and is one of the elder statesmen in the race, and in recent years has placed as fastest rider 50+ in the Kelvin Hastie memorial, the Twizel to Timaru classic, and the James Faulding memorial, also recording the second fastest time in the 90km time trial stage of the Challenge Wanaka teams event. He works in the School of Physical Education, Sport and Exercise Sciences at Otago University. Chris Todd is another over 35 rider, and he enjoyed riding the tour with the team so much last year he decided to come back for more, even though he insists this is really his last go at the race. His aim is to make it all the way up The Remarkables this year. Garth Cooper is from Winton, and has competed in the SBS Bank Tour of Southland a number of times. He won the Southland Championships in both the road race and the time trial for the men’s 55-64 division earlier this year. Jamie Campbell is another rider in the over 35 division, and hails from Napier.
