Major SH1 roadworks

The Timaru District Council will be installing a sewer main across Evans St (SH1) from the Pringle St intersection in Timaru tomorrow. The section of highway will be reduced to a single lane controlled with temporary traffic lights affecting both northbound and southbound traffic. Significant, lengthy delays can be expected throughout the day. The Pringle St entrance will be blocked from Evans St, but access can be gained via Belfield or Waimataitai streets and then Norwood St.
