Transgender protest
Weeks out from the Rugby World Cup in New Zealand, the English Red Roses team hosted an open training that attracted trans activists following the union’s decision to ban trans athletes from the game. Former rugby player Emily Hamilton and the founding co-chair of LGBTQ+ rugby supporters association Quins Pride, was part of a peaceful protest at Twickenham and said the decision to ban transgender women from the game impacts the safety of her community. The English Rugby Football Union made the move two weeks ago.
