Smashing start to season

The 2021-22 Twenty20 Super Smash season is set to start on November 26 with a pair of grand final rematches. The Wellington Firebirds and Canterbury Magicians will begin to defend the men’s and women’s titles against the Canterbury Kings and the Wellington Blaze, with both games in Christchurch. The domestic T20 season will again consist entirely of doubleheaders, culminating in a pair of elimination finals on January 27 and a pair of grand finals on January 29.

Opening fixtures, Friday, November 26: Canterbury Magicians v Wellington Blaze, Canterbury Kings v Wellington Firebirds.

Saturday, Nov 27: Auckland Hearts v Northern Brave, Auckland Aces v Northern Brave.

Sunday, Nov 28: Otago Sparks v Central Hinds, Otago Volts v Central Stags
