Can you help Rita?

I am visiting my family in Te Kauwhata and will be competing in the games being held in Whanganui in February.

I am trying to find a javelin and a shot put of the weights suitable for a lady aged 85-89 years so that I can continue training until the event. I wish to regain the records, if at all possible, that my mother held over 30 years ago when she competed in a similar event in Auckland and came home with five visitors’ gold medals and records for shot, javelin, discus, 100 metres sprint and the 3K walk.

I am wondering whether you could help me get access to a javelin and shot put by publicising my plight in your newspaper.
