Minister to visit region rebuilding after cyclone

A briefing to the incoming government on behalf of Hawke’s Bay’s councils and iwi and post settlement governance entities has outlined key priorities as the region rebuilds after Cyclone Gabrielle. That includes emergency resilience, support for Hawke’s Bay Regional Hospital, addressing its housing shortage, clearing silt and debris, and repairing road damage. Emergency Management and Recovery Minister Mark Mitchell is set to visit the region in the coming week.
