Homegrown announces full lineup for 2024

Jim Beam Homegrown has announced the rest of its 2024 lineup, featuring a double-performance from rapper Tom Scott alongside a mix of hip-hop, metal, and pop acts.

A heavyweight of New Zealand’s hip-hop scene, Scott will make two performances at Homegrown – one as his late 2000s group Home Brew, before taking the stage again as the critically acclaimed Avantdale Bowling Club.

“We usually have four or five band or crew members to shuttle between stages on the day of the event, but we haven’t double booked a lead singer with two different bands since the late, great Aaron Tokona back in the day,” said event organiser Andrew Tuck.

Scott joins the likes of legendary singer-songwriter Bic Runga and Māori soul singer Teeks, who were confirmed as performers in Homegrown’s first lineup announcement in mid-September.

Other new additions to the lineup include up-and-comers Riiki Reid and Muroki who will take the festival’s City Stage, while Samoan rap icon Savage joins the Lagoon stage lineup.

Wellington metal act Beastwars, reggae act Rubi Du, German producer Sanoi, and former X Factor NZ contestant Cassie Henderson, amongst others, have also been added to the lineup.

Homegrown has sold out every year for the last 16 years and Tuck said Kiwi music is going from strength to strength.

The event will be held at Wellington waterfront on March 16.

Tickets are on sale now at homegrown. net.nz.
