Heritage gone
An architect thinks Nelson “has retained much of its heritage buildings, scale and character” (November 27). But this disregards the splendid Provincial Buildings demolished by the council in 1969, although the Government offered to subsidise their restoration; also the council's fine Edwardian 1903 building, sacrificed for the sake of moving to the monstrous Civic House.
