All farmers

In reply to Ms Youl (Letters, Jan 17), none of the cases of sheep welfare, for which I lodged complaints, were pertinent to ‘lifestyler’ farmers with 10-acre blocks.

All were experienced farmers from substantial farms, who could just not be bothered with tending to the needs of their sheep.

The remarks in my earlier letter concerning lifestylers were those made to me by governmental animal welfare people, who were recounting their experiences to me. My complaints concerned ‘real’ farmers.
