Tamihere appeal

Sir Bob Jones learned in 1990 that the lead detective in the case that convicted David Tamihere "nailed him by making up all the evidence" (News, November 26).

Jones is an outspoken business and political leader and a knight of the realm.

In what way did he speak out about this apparent miscarriage of justice, at that time or since?
