Treaty and consensus
I would suggest that Gavan O’Farrell (Letters, November 26) is wrong about the Treaty.
I would further suggest that Cook J handed down the wrong judgement – because there was no consensus ad idem, (no mutuality of consent) given that the terms of the Maori and English versions were different in their meaning. That is why my point was made.
