Lament of modern youth
A 21-year-old had been a frequent visitor to the Sky City casino in the previous weeks, sometimes winning $500 or $1000 a night playing baccarat (Business, November 26). He estimated he was $20,000 up when he went in. But things got out of hand and he lost more than $40,000 in one night.
He said he would like to be reimbursed. “I feel like that could have been prevented if I was just offered help at the right time … There were enough red flags for them that day to just kick me out, maybe I wouldn’t have lost everything.” He felt he had not been looked after properly.
The lament of modern youth, never being held accountable for their actions. It’s always someone else's fault.
