Purvis returns in style, Mystics lose Nweke

Former Silver Ferns defender Storm Purvis shone for the Northern Stars in their 67-53 win over Waikato-BOP Magic in Hamilton yesterday. The 29-year-old came out of retirement due to injuries for her 100th game. The Northern Mystics tamed the Tactix, 69-58, in Christchurch, but star goal shoot Grace Nweke (52 from 55) limped off late on.
