WALMSLEY AND COLE FAUX FAKERIES TABLE, $825

Walmsley and Cole is the creative studio of husband and wife Faith Walmsley and Nick Cole. Starting out with whimsical silk scarves and accessories, more recently the pair added charming hand-made interior objects to their offerings – colourful scallop-edged spindle mirrors are particularly appealing. The Faux Fakeries are the newest release and are their ode to trompe l’oeil. Utilising windfelled macrocarpa from the family farm, striking tables are turned by Nick, with fake marble tops hand-painted by Faith. They’re one of a kind, but can also be made to order.
